Apptivation consists of an easy to use administrative client/database application and an Apptivation API (for integration into your application).

The Apptivation application is used to produce secure product keys specific to your software. These product keys are then given, with your software, to your customers.

Your customer is then required to use the product key to activate their copy of their software. Your software achieves this by using the Apptivation API. The following diagram illustrates the activation process:
